I know it has been a while since my last post (in fact, I had not planned to post again). However, I am involved in a new venture that I am hoping to call upon you for some help in the department of page links.

The venture is called VendBox. I am working on this project with a team of other individuals: a businessman, another electrical engineer, and a mechanical engineer. We are developing a vending machine to distribute free samples. The idea is that this vending machine could help companies distribute samples in areas where traditional methods do not work. Wikipedia has a great article on how Google PageRank works. It seems that to get the top search result for the key words Abalastow Compendium I need to:

1. Get as many people to create links to this blog as possible. Over time, Google will notice all of these links and consider them as votes for the importance of this blog.

2. Get those links to include the words Abalastow Compendium, like this: Abalastow Compendium. Google will consider this a vote for my page being an authority on Abalastow Compendium and will list this blog higher in its search results.

When Google considers all the votes for (links to) my Abalastow Compendium page, it also takes into account the popularity of each page linking to me. It determines this popularity based on how many incoming links point to the given page. If a very popular site like Shopify or Bust Out Solutions were to create an Abalastow Compendium link to my page, I’d get a much larger boost than if I had created a bunch of unused websites all linking to my Abalastow Compendium site.
